All about American Dream TV
So I did it! I filmed my first episode of American Dream! It was fun and it was exhausting. It was hot and it was nerve wracking. But, it was awesome.
We filmed the episode in downtown Braselton, which is one of my favorite suburbs in Atlanta. What I love most about Braselton is how charming their downtown space is. They have done an excellent job at taking old historic buildings and making them usable and so fun for today’s use. The 1904 building is the perfect example of that. Inside of this building is a tap room, a quaint bakery, a few restaurants, boutique shops, an olive oil store!, a hairdresser…maybe more.
We sat down with Amy Pinnell, who is the Community Development Director for the town of Braselton. She gave us an overview of the history of the town (that involves a Hollywood actress!) and how they preserve the charm of the town while still growing and expanding the city.
Then we ended with a ride on the Braselton Trolley! How cool is that?!
After that we took a short drive over to my latest listing in Hoschton and showed off what life and homes look like in the South! The house is actually very pretty- you should check it out! You can find it here.
Side note- when I was describing Braselton and the 1904 building to the videographer (who lives in Dunwoody), I went on and on about how much I love the town and all the cool businesses there. He stopped me and said, so is this like Ponce City Market?? I laughed and laughed. I told him this is 1/1000th (or smaller) in comparison!
I’ve had so many people ask questions, so wanted to take a few minutes to answer a few. I’ll be filming episodes for American Dream every other month, and they will in turn air every other month. American Dream TV is a show focused primarily on lifestyle and culture of different places around the US with a mix of real estate in there. I line up interviews, opportunities, events and bring the videographer with me. I’m always looking for opportunities to connect with business owners around the North Metro Atlanta area who I can spotlight so feel free to reach out if that’s you!
Another question I have frequently been asked is, where can I watch your episode?! And the answer is, I don’t know yet. American Dream is shown on a variety of avenues. I have a call lined up soon with the producers to find out more about this next step.
All in all, it’s a great opportunity to market myself, my listings, and the places I love around North Metro Atlanta. I’m so thrilled about the opportunity and so thankful to have friends cheering me on and excited for me!
I’m mulling over having a watch party around Braselton once I know all the details. If that’s something you’re interested in being apart of, let me know and I’ll make sure you know the when and where!
Thanks for reading!
